The Journey Not Forgotten: Henry Woolway
The Journey Not Forgotten explores the now fragmented memories of Woolway’s childhood in Cornwall.
Playing on the idea that memories are constructed from story telling, photos and recollections of events, the works aim to show the rebuilding of these moments in time. Henry’s paintings are created from breaking down fully formed works which are reconstructed to make something new whilst still keeping the essence of the original. Working with limited tones on canvas and paper allows for the raw ideas to come across whilst allowing for interpretation from the viewer.
